So, I got a call earlier today and was invited to be a part of a new band forming up. They will be playing R&B, funk, classic hits of rock and roll and more. On Saturday I will go to a rehearsal to see what I can add to the group. It should be fun unless I suck more than I think I do.
I have been wanting to play with some other musicians for a while now. You can only play by yourself for so long before you maybe get bored. I am looking forward to finding out if I still have what it takes to have some fun.
I was sent a list of the tunes the band is playing. Some of them I know already. Some I’ve heard and not played. Some I know but have not played. Hopefully, it won’t be a problem. It would be great to play some gigs for a change.
I will let you know how it goes. If it works out I could be musically satisfied for a while.
