I haven’t even practiced today, or yesterday for that matter. I have been in some extra pain. My upper back seems to be broken. At least that’s what it feels like.
This is a recording from a couple of months ago as I was learning, Take The “A” Train. It is a song from a very long time ago written by, Billy Strayhorn, who was a writer for the Duke Ellington band. I’m not sure but I think he wrote the tune while riding a train to a rehearsal.
I was a music major in college.
Spent 20 years in the Navy Music Program.
I am now living in South Carolina.
My struggles are with my weight, loneliness, and a lack of motivation to do anything about either. I still love music. I just don't have the drive I had in my 20's to chase after it anymore.
I don't know what's left in this life for me. I have no desire or ambitions toward achieving anything. Is that a lack of will to live? I don't know. Here I am though. And I will be here until things are different I guess. I'm tired.

There was actually more to this post. However, after about an hour of writing, my computer, or wordpress.com decided that there would be no article. Apparently, there was no auto-save happening like usual. My screen went blank and all that was left is what you see here.
