Another Look a Vandoren Ebonite

I have posted about this mouthpiece before. However, as the years have passed, this mouthpiece has immerged as my favorite. This mouthpiece allows me ease of playing and a quick route to the tenor sax sound I prefer. I am playing the Vandoren V16 Ebonite (hard rubber) mouthpiece. It is the first mouthpiece I purchased when I bought my saxophone in 2017. Before that, I had not played music since 2009.

I had not played for a long time because I got burned out. I had played with the Navy music program for 20 years. Other factors contributed to my not wanting to play anymore, but playing the same music for 20 years is the main reason.

I was a music major in college. Spent 20 years in the Navy Music Program. I am now living in South Carolina. My struggles are with my weight, loneliness, and a lack of motivation to do anything about either. I still love music. I just don't have the drive I had in my 20's to chase after it anymore. I don't know what's left in this life for me. I have no desire or ambitions toward achieving anything. Is that a lack of will to live? I don't know. Here I am though. And I will be here until things are different I guess. I'm tired.
