My practice has been halted because of carpal tunnel syndrome. That doesn’t mean I won’t keep trying. Hopefully, the corrective surgery will happen within the next week or so.
For the past several weeks I have been waking up in the middle of the night with extreme pain in my right arm. It feels like someone parked a car on my arm. The pain goes from my fingers and hand up to my shoulder. Throughout the day my fingers tingle and are numb. It really makes it hard to play.
I haven’t been able to practice very much because of the pain. I am really hoping that the problem will be corrected after the surgery. I have been reluctant to have the surgery because I’ve been afraid that my fingers might be damaged during the procedure. Anything can happen.
I hope to get back to practicing pretty quickly after the surgery. As I’ve stated in other post and blogs, aging is not for cowards.
Hopefully you are back at it soon! Good luck with the surgery!
